Burning and air pollution in Chiang Mai

In this independent analysis, I examined the seasonal relationship between agricultural burning and urban air pollution in Chiang Mai using public air-quality and satellite fire-hotspot data from 2014 to 2023. The piece compares PM2.5 and PM10 levels with fire brightness and Fire Radiative Power in surrounding Thai provinces, showing their recurring temporal overlap and questioning attempts to shift blame away from domestic fire activity. It was written as a data-based contribution to a local public issue with direct health and policy relevance.
